Terms of Use
Effective date: March 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Content API ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying customers.
2. Description of Service
Content API is a headless content management system (CMS) that allows users to model content types, manage entries, upload media assets, and deliver content through a REST API. The Service is provided as-is and may be updated or modified at any time.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@content-api.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, store, or deliver unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service in an automated manner without permission.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without explicit written permission.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create through the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant Content API a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and deliver your User Content solely to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your User Content and will not use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving the Service.
6. Third-Party Authentication
The Service offers sign-in via Google OAuth. When you choose to authenticate using a third-party provider, you authorize Content API to access basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) from that provider solely for the purpose of creating and managing your account. We do not store your third-party credentials.
7. API Keys and Security
The Service issues API keys to authenticate programmatic requests. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not expose API keys in public repositories or client-side code. We reserve the right to revoke keys that are compromised or used in violation of these Terms.
8. Billing and Plans
Certain features of the Service may require a paid plan. Billing terms, pricing, and usage limits are described on the pricing page and within your account dashboard. Invoices are issued monthly. Unpaid invoices may result in suspension of your project after a grace period. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, extended non-payment, or other reasons at our discretion. Upon termination, your User Content may be deleted after a 30-day retention period.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Content API shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.
